Group: Brighton Reccie - Initial Ideas

From our trip to Brighton, we were able to experiment with a number of shots and ideas we had in mind for our music video including public transport shots, close ups of natural lighting and art-like pull focus shots

From the trip, we were also able to see the difficulties of shooting in public locations as we had to ask permission if we could shoot in certain areas including some independent shops

We were able to experiment with the track which helped to capture a moving shot of a character walking into the shot. We now believe that using the track in our music video would create a fluid sequence of shots that would help to add to the atmosphere of the track

Focussing on different camera techniques helped us to experiment with the perception of the characters nature in the music video. Using long shots helps to incorporate the background with the scene whereas using meat shots helped to focus on the emotions of the character. This is useful to us as we have to consider our narrative and how we want our audience to consider the characters in our music video

Although we didn't have a narrative in our preliminary task; this task has enabled us to picture the shots and areas we would like to use in our music video to create an artistic as well as professional looking music video. Coming away from this, we are hoping to pursue our ideas towards London, capturing creative shots in different areas including Brick Lane, Camden, Tate Modern as well as using the London transport system as well.
